What do we do?

What do we do?

Our aim is to provide all children and young people who are sick, disabled or underprivileged with access to ICT, empowering them to maintain contact with their mainstream schools, families and friends, and thus help them to continue their education, develop key life skills and make their hospital stay more fun.

Since 1997 we have been equipping hospital schools in the UK and the USA, and are seeking to link even more children around the world through video-conferencing and e-mail.

The technology we provide allows children to access the worldwide web in safety, communicate with their friends, family and classmates and keep up with their education. This work is not only very important in terms of ongoing education but has a dramatic effect on the general condition and state of mind of these long-term sick children who benefit from this innovative educational programme.

Some doctors have gone on record as saying that many children suffer less pain (and take less medication) when working on the computers.

We also provide computers and printers for children who are sick at home, and underprivileged children in the community.

Do you work within IT?

If so you and your company could help. Read our 'Letter to Chief Information Officers'
